Learners are introduced to the importance of placing individuals at the heart of care and support, and how this approach underpins quality, dignity, and positive outcomes in health and social care settings.

Module 1: Principles of Person-Centred Care
Learners will explore what is meant by person-centred care within health and social care. This module explains the key principles of a person-centred approach and why it is essential for good practice. Learners will also examine how national standards, codes of practice, and professional values support and promote person-centred care across services.

Module 2: Individuality, Rights, and Choice
This module focuses on the core values of individuality, rights, choice, independence, and dignity. Learners will explore how these values support person-centred practice and how individuals can be supported to make informed decisions about their care.
