Curriculum planning across EYFS areas of learning

This self-assessment helps you reflect on your confidence in planning a broad and balanced curriculum across the Early Years Foundation Stage areas of learning. It is for early years educators, room leaders, nursery managers and childminders. It helps identify confidence, learning needs and areas for discussion. It does not confirm competence and does not replace formal training, supervision, observation of practice, employer checks, professional judgement or local policy. If your average score is below 3, or you score 1 or 2 on any statement, review the relevant learning, practise safely in line with your role and discuss development needs in supervision.
