Cookie Policy

Cookies and similar technologies

Last updated: 23 October 2026.

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and scripts that store or read device information. Their rules depend on their purpose, not only on what they are called.

Account, security and preferences

A signed-in learning service uses session information to recognise the account and maintain access. Security functions can also store or read information needed to protect the requested service. Your browser can block or remove stored data, but doing so may sign you out or prevent a requested feature from working. This does not make every technology used by a website essential.

Advertising information

The Care Learning privacy notice includes Ezoic’s notice about advertising-related data and technologies. Advertising storage or access requires the applicable consent; it is not strictly necessary merely because advertising helps fund free learning. Non-personalised advertising is not automatically exempt from the storage/access rules.

Consent preferences and duration

Care Learning displays Ezoic’s Privacy & Transparency panel. The panel identifies the preference cookie as ez-consent-tcf and states that choices are saved for a maximum of 13 months. This describes that preference record; other technologies can have different purposes and lifetimes.

Choose Reject All on the first panel if you do not want optional cookies, or choose Manage Settings to review the purposes and vendor information. The panel separates consent choices from purposes presented under legitimate interests. Use Save Settings & Exit to save the choices you have reviewed. The floating privacy icon at the left of the page reopens the panel so that you can revisit your choices.

Your choices

Continuing to browse is not consent. Where optional processing requires consent, you can withdraw it; where a legitimate-interest objection applies, you can use the relevant control or contact us. An advertising label or legitimate-interest toggle does not by itself remove the separate consent rules for storing or accessing information on your device. You can also use browser controls to clear cookies and local storage, although clearing storage does not by itself unsubscribe you from email marketing.

If you cannot find a choice or need information about a particular item, contact info@carelearning.org.uk. Tell us the page and the cookie or storage name if known; do not send passwords or a browser-session token. You can ask for the information in another format.
