Advance Care Planning Review is a process where a person's future care wishes are discussed, recorded, and reviewed regularly.
An Advance Care Planning Review may include:
The person's medicines list – current medications they are taking.
Preferred place of care – where they would like to receive care (e.g., home, hospital, care home).
Key contacts – family members, carers, or healthcare professionals who should be contacted.
Communication needs – any support needed for communication.
The date it was reviewed – when the care plan was last updated.
The purpose is to ensure that the person's wishes, preferences, and care needs are understood and respected if they become unable to make decisions in the future.
I have really enjoyed the training and appreciate it being free as I work for a charity (with limited funds). Part of my role is to support family members impacted by addiction and sometimes mental health. I wasn't expecting the course to take so long! Mind you I did get interrupted a few times. I would like to be able to download the summary pages, perhaps I will see a way to do this at the end.
The hate crime training was informative, practical and relevant to healthcare. It increase my understanding of recognizing, responding to, reporting and preventing hate crimes while ensuring parents are treated with dignity, respect and compassion.
One of the YouTube videos (WorkNest) was an hour long and could have been summarised to explain what it was about. It included the chit/chat and technical issues which was distracting from its content, a summary would have been a better option
Really helps to understand trauma and identify individual responses to the several types of trauma.
Provides strategies and therapies that enable a practitioner to build further knowledge and skills.
Confidence building
The course is full of essential information which helps the learner gain important information about the necessity of risk assessment and its importance in all working sectors. Helpful with good videos and examples.

Very informative as an introduction to Safeguarding Adults as step towards becoming better informed on the subject. I would suggest it is a starting point and encourage the further reading. Thank you
