BECOME AN ASSOCIATE

Share your expertise. Help raise standards in care and education.

Care Learning is growing, with plans for evening live sessions, expert-led topics and on-demand answers to learners’ questions. We’re building a network of assessors, internal verifiers, trainers and subject specialists to help shape what comes next. Become an associate and join our list, and be the first to hear about new opportunities.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Associates bring real-world expertise

Our associates come from many backgrounds. You might be:

Assessors

Qualified assessors in health and social care, early years or education.

Internal verifiers / IQAs

Quality assurance specialists who understand standards and evidence.

Live session presenters

Confident presenters who could lead a live online session, including evenings.

Subject specialists

Experts in topics such as safeguarding, dementia, SEND, medication or leadership.

Care sector professionals

Managers, nurses, practitioners and consultants with frontline insight.

Share your story

Care workers, nurses, managers and teaching staff who’d like to share what their role is really like and how they got there, to inspire others starting out.

HOW IT WORKS

A simple, no-pressure process

1. Register your interest

Tell us a little about you, your expertise and what you could offer. It takes about five minutes.

2. We review it

We look at every expression of interest against what our learners are asking for.

3. We’ll be in touch

If there’s a good fit, we’ll contact you for an informal chat.

4. Create your profile

If we agree to work together, we’ll send you a short profile form. Nothing is published without your permission.

When opportunities come up, such as a live session, a career story or a learner request, we’ll contact associates whose expertise fits. You’re always free to say no.

WHY BECOME AN ASSOCIATE

What being an associate could offer you

  • An associate profile on the Care Learning website
  • A ready-made audience of learners, care providers and schools
  • A platform to deliver live sessions, with no need to find your own venue or tech
  • Your sessions or resources could be promoted to our contacts by email
  • More visibility and a stronger professional profile in the sector
  • Flexible: get involved as much or as little as suits you

GOOD TO KNOW

A flexible, informal arrangement

  • No guaranteed work. Being an associate doesn’t guarantee any opportunities or payment.
  • Agreed case by case. Some opportunities may be voluntary, others may cover your costs or include a fee. We’ll always agree this with you before anything starts.
  • We can’t accept everyone. We review every expression of interest but may not be able to take every one forward.
  • No pressure. You can say no to any request, or ask us to remove your details, at any time.
  • Not a contract. Registering interest or becoming an associate isn’t employment, a contract or any legally binding agreement, and nothing on this page is a promise of work or payment.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a qualification?

It depends on the role. Assessors and IQAs will normally hold the relevant award. Subject specialists and presenters may be considered on their experience.

Will I be paid?

It depends on the opportunity. Some may be voluntary, others may cover costs or include a fee, always agreed with you beforehand. There’s no guaranteed work or payment.

Do I need a DBS check?

Not to register. If a specific opportunity needed one, we’d discuss it with you at the time.

How long will it take to hear back?

We review submissions regularly but can’t promise a timescale. If there’s a good fit, we’ll be in touch.

What goes on my associate profile?

If you’re accepted, we’ll send you a separate profile form where you choose what to share, such as a photo, short bio, website and contact email. We only publish what you’ve given permission for, and you can ask us to change or remove it at any time.

What happens to my details?

With your agreement, we keep them for up to 12 months and let you know if a suitable opportunity comes up. You can ask us to delete them at any time. See our privacy policy.
