Deteriorating patient observation and NEWS2 awareness

This self-assessment helps you reflect on your confidence with observing a patient who may be becoming more unwell, recording observations, understanding NEWS2 awareness, and escalating concerns. It supports learning and discussion with your manager, supervisor, registered professional, or designated lead. It does not prove competence and does not replace training, supervision, observed practice, employer checks, professional judgement, or local policy. Because this is a high-risk area, any score of 1 or 2 should be treated as a priority learning need.
