Infection prevention and control

This self-assessment helps you reflect on your confidence in infection prevention and control. It is for frontline workers in adult social care, healthcare, early years and similar settings. It helps identify learning needs and areas to discuss with your manager or supervisor. It does not prove competence or replace formal training, supervision, observation, employer checks, professional judgement or local policy. If you score 1 or 2 on any statement, review your local infection control procedures and speak with your manager, supervisor or relevant senior person before carrying out related tasks independently.
