Pain assessment and escalation

This self-assessment helps you reflect on your confidence in supporting pain assessment and escalation in your role. It does not confirm competence. It does not replace formal training, supervision, observation of practice, employer checks, professional judgement or local policy. Pain can be a high-risk area. Any score of 1 or 2 should be treated as a priority learning need. Follow employer policy and speak with your manager, supervisor or designated lead before carrying out related tasks independently.
