Supporting people at risk of self-neglect

This self-assessment helps you think about your confidence in supporting people who may be at risk of self-neglect. It is for frontline workers in adult social care and housing. It helps identify learning needs and areas to discuss in supervision. It does not confirm competence and does not replace training, supervision, employer checks, professional judgement or local policy. If you score 1 or 2 on any statement, treat this as a priority learning need. Follow your employer policy and speak with your manager, safeguarding lead or designated lead before carrying out related tasks independently.
