Learning should be free for everyone who cares for others
Care Learning is a small, sector-led team. We create free, interactive training, guides and tools for people working in care, support and education, and for anyone hoping to join them. These are the values that guide what we make and how we make it.
420+ free courses
£0 to learn, for everyone
160+ languages for translation
15+ yrs sector experience

Training made with the same care that our learners give to the people they support.
Why we built Care Learning
What we stand for
The people who look after others deserve training that genuinely helps. When we looked at what was out there, free courses were rarely interactive and paid courses often cost £10 to £30 each. We set out to do better, and to keep it free. Our values are how we hold ourselves to that.

Free for everyone
Good training should never depend on who can pay.
We believe everyone should have free access to training that helps them build skills, grow in their role and move forward with confidence. Care work is some of the most important work there is, and it is rarely the best paid. Cost should never be the reason a care worker, volunteer or someone new to the sector misses out on learning.
How it shows up
- Over 420 courses, free to study, with progress tracking and certificates.
- Free for people already in work and for those exploring a career in the sector.
- Free tools for organisations to assign training and support their teams.
People first
Dignity, respect and kindness, in every lesson.
Behind every course is a person being supported, and a worker doing their best for them. We build our learning around person-centred practice, dignity and rights. We treat our learners the same way: as capable professionals with busy lives, who deserve clear, respectful and useful training.
How it shows up
- Case studies that show real people, real choices and real situations.
- Person-centred care, dignity and safeguarding run through our courses.
- Learning that respects your time, so you can study at your own pace.

For every sector that cares
Care happens in many places, so our learning does too.
From a care home lounge to a nursery playroom, a housing office to a youth centre, caring for people takes skill wherever it happens. We write for the people and teams who support others, develop services and help communities thrive.

Practical and plain English
Built from real sector experience.
Learning only matters if it helps you make sense of real situations, support colleagues and improve the service people receive. We start with the workplace: the questions, pressures and responsibilities people meet every day. We avoid jargon where we can, and explain the important ideas clearly when technical language matters.
How it shows up
- Courses written in plain English and checked against UK guidance.
- Care Certificate support, qualification guides and practical articles.
- Reflection tools and planners that turn learning into action.

Inclusive learning
Everyone learns differently, and that is a strength.
The care workforce is wonderfully diverse, and our learning should work for every person in it. Whether English is your first language or your fifth, whether you learn best by listening, doing or watching, we want you to feel at home on Care Learning.
How it shows up
- Audio lessons and translation into over 160 languages.
- Drag and drop activities, flip cards, avatar-led videos and case studies.
- Knowledge checks throughout, so you can build confidence as you go.
Shaped together
We listen, then we make it better.
Care Learning is shaped by the people who use it. We are a small team, close enough to listen and practical enough to act quickly. Learners, managers and colleagues across the sector tell us what would help. Many of our features began as requests from people using Care Learning.
How it shows up
- Learner and organisation feedback guides what we build next.
- Learner discussions to reflect on practice and share experience.
- Partnerships with organisations who share our aims.

Sectors that care need confident, supported people. We exist to make learning more open, practical and human.
